1. Keep it dry: Although sisal is strong, prolonged exposure to moisture can lead to discoloration or mold.

2. Spot clean only:

o Use a soft, dry cloth or a soft brush to gently remove dust.

o For light stains, use a slightly damp cloth—avoid soaking the basket.

o If needed, a mild detergent can be used carefully, but rinse gently and dry thoroughly. Jute products especially should not be machine washed.

3. Dry well: After any cleaning, let it dry in shade (not direct sunlight) to prevent warping or fading.

4. Reshape if needed: If the basket loses its shape, lightly  and gently reshape by hand or place a similar-sized object inside until it reforms

5. Avoid long sun exposure: Natural dye may fade if left in strong sunlight for extended periods .
